Those old days, whatever the enlightened beings try to tell us the Truth but they are facing some difficulty that the Real Truth is impossible to deliver. So what they left to us perhaps some stories, some symbols and etc.
Let us talk about the symbols. The symbol of Dao or Tao represents the whole universe Truth. What is the symbol that Jesus left to us? The Cross!
Not many people understand this Cross meaning. Actually it is nothing different than What Gotama Buddha taught of Mindfulness (Sati).
The Cross horizontal line represents our existing world dimension which is always trapped in the past or future. Between these two periods of time, there is one vertical line crossing over this past and future. This vertical line represents another dimension of the world (spiritual world) which is completely different than this existing world.
Vertical line represents the Now or at present moment which is completely free from this space and time. It is neither past nor future. Only this vertical line you are in another dimension of the world which is free from death or "Deathless".
Your Buddha Nature will never die, it is your consciousness and it is possible to come out from your body and logical mind anytime. Your physical body and logical mind may die one day, but not your Buddha Nature.
